Ola Lustig’s kitchen in Gamla Enskede

Ola Lustig's kitchen in Gamla Enskede

Ola Lustig and his partner Elin live in Gamla Enskede. They renovated their kitchen when they bought the house, but it is far from the first kitchen they renovated.

Today, the kitchen is proper and optimized, with a bright and fresh look that is very different from how the old kitchen looked.
The worktop is a “Breeze Ashen Light” Polished From Granitop. It is 20 mm with a 70 mm high splash guard.

“We built our kitchen as part of a complete renovation of our house in Gamla Enskede. The kitchen was then our fourth kitchen project in as many years, so we had a pretty good idea of what we wanted. A massive wooden kitchen that would last for many years.”

The family has bought lighting in an older style, which is perfect for the kitchen.

When the family wanted to renovate their kitchen, they knew what they were looking for. A durable kitchen in solid wood that fit into the new house was important when it came to choosing a kitchen.

The choice of kitchen fell on a classic shaker kitchen from Scandinavian Shaker Kitchen, painted in the shade “Summer Sand”.

The dishwasher is hidden behind a beautiful front for dishwasher.
Inside the drawers are cutlery inserts and drawer interior made of solid wood. All insides are treated with linseed oil.

“The best thing about our shaker kitchen is definitely the feeling when you pull out a drawer or open a cabinet. You are greeted by the smell of wood and the light, fine wood color and the whole feeling is solid, timeless and beautiful. I probably never thought I would become a person who appreciates having nice things in the kitchen drawers, but with such a beautiful kitchen you feel inspired to have things nice and organized”

Decisions and past experiences

Although the couple knew what they were looking for when it came to the kitchen, not all decisions were easy to make.

– The most difficult thing to decide on was the buds. As usual, it is aesthetics and practicality that argue and we chose the former. The children had difficulty with the buds at first, but now they have learned.

– As an addition, I can only mention that we are a family of five and the kitchens we renovated in the past have quickly become worn, scratched and sagging. This kitchen feels like new even after 3 years. An incredible quality product that we highly recommend!

A classic and simple shoemaker lamp fits perfectly in this kitchen.
Between the stove and the sink there is plenty of space to prepare food.
The mixer is elegantly placed in the middle of the window frame.
